Losing ab fat is always difficult and sometimes impossible without starvation. Fat is part of a healthy body composition and we need it to survive. Fat only becomes a problem when we have too much. If you have too much, you can probably lose most of it. However, there is no guarantee you can lose it all. Here's the story.

Any exercise will burn calories but no exercise will burn fat unless your diet allows it. You can burn fat in your sleep or you can run all day and never burn any fat. It all depends on your diet.

Fat loss is determined by calorie control, not by exercise. Good exercises for burning calories are speed walking, biking, swimming, and ANY other physical activity which makes you move a lot of weight for a long time. But NO exercise is good for burning fat if you eat too many calories because you can always eat more calories than you can burn.

Too many people waste energy and time because they do not understand this one simple point. The result is too often giving up in frustration, abandoning gym memberships they continue to pay for, and many other unnecessary problems not the least of which is a lack of success.

An average person must walk about five miles every day of the week to burn the calories equivalent to a pound of body fat. So, unless you think walking five miles a day or doing that amount of exercise is for you, focus your fat loss program on diet.

Diet for fat loss. Exercise for fitness.

It is not possible to lose fat only from a specific part of your body of your choosing. Where your body stores and removes fat is determined by your genetics and there is nothing you can do to change that short of radical procedures such as liposuction. And, in general, where it stores fat first is where it will lose it last and visa versa. The world of health and fitness has an unfortunate abundance of myths and spot reduction is one of them. There is no exercise, no pill, no supplements, no spa treatment, and no natural way to spot reduce. Your only choice is to create a caloric deficit with diet and exercise, burn fat, and wait for it to leave the desired body parts.

The abdomen is the most difficult place for most people to lose fat because it's the first place we add fat to our bodies and also the last place we lose it. And, our bodies are designed by evolution to resist the loss of the last of our body fat. That means stripping all of the fat from the abdomen will be a difficult process and virtually impossible for many…usually the endomorph or naturally heavier body type.

If an endomorph (naturally heavy) tries to lose the last vestiges of body fat, their body will shift slowly from burning fat to burning proteins needed to drive the metabolism. That will make the rate of fat loss slow considerably and could also result in the loss of the most protective and productive body tissues, muscle. On the other hand, the ectomorph (naturally thin) will often find fat loss unnecessary as they naturally do not maintain much fat. Male ectomorphs in particular will manifest a ripped abdomen because males tend to store their fat in the abdominal cavity instead of between the skin and the muscle, where females tend to store fat, which obscures the ab muscles. It is the "between" (subcutaneous) fat that gives females that smooth looking abdomen which many males find so attractive (think belly dancer).

Therefor, how easy (or difficult) it will be for you to lose belly fat will depend on your soma (body) type and your gender and, if those variables do not favor fat loss, you may be one of those who will find a ripped abdomen to be an end not worth the means.

That said, buy a $5 pair of calipers and track your percent body fat (See how here –> Http://www.muscleandstrength.com/tools/h… or here –> Http://www.youtube.com/user/scooby1961#p… ). If you get to the low teens (about 10-15%bf) and are still dissatisfied with your abdomen, you are probably not going to have a lean set of abs and you may be fighting a losing battle.

Do not use and pills or supplements that will only ruin your health.

The best way to do it is natural way!

Many people jump into a weight loss plan without having an idea of what they are doing and how to do it properly. No two people are alike and our bodies are different, so the weight loss plan that works for me, may not work for you. Before starting any weight loss or diet plan check with your doctor first. Here are ten of the biggest weight loss mistakes I see people making all the time.

1) Not having follow up plan.

Trying to lose weight fast without a social support to back you up will lead to a failed weight loss plan. First, have your doctor, RN, a personal trainer, your workout partner, your significant other, your roommates, and your friends all behind your weight loss or diet plan. Research shows that you'll benefit most from a health professional (i.e. A trainer) and a workout partner that is also successful. By having yourself checkout by a doctor and getting him/her behind you is your first step to success.

2) Not having a well written or structured plan

I served in the military for 30 years, and one of the things I learned in the military was that you must have a well thought out plan to accomplish any mission. We also would say no plan survives initial contact. So be prepared to make modifications to your plan.

3) No variety.

After several weeks or dieting and working out, you need to mix things up a little. Have a diet or weight loss plan that changes your routine after several weeks.

4) Failing to understand that what goes into your body plays a key role.

Exercising is a good way to lose weight and lose fat, but you also have to watch what you eat and when you eat.

5) Not knowing your limits.

In order for any fast weight loss plan or easy weight loss goal to be accomplished, you have to know your limits. You must set weight loss goals for yourself and know your milestones. You should set milestones that you want to achieve to get to your ideal weight. Without weight loss goals and an end state, you are just setting yourself up for failure.

6) And finally, focus on quality over quantity.

The "volume approach to fat loss" from the 1980's (characterized by lots of cardio and lots of carbs) didn't work. For good reason. Stick to high quality nutrition, and high-quality training.

7) Not eating right

Eat five or six meals a day. This spreads meals over the course of a day rather than just eating one or two large meals a day which is not good on the body.

8) Taking in too much sugar

Limit your consumption of sugar or processed foods. This includes soft drinks, frozen dinners, even "sports drinks" – Gatorade, vitamin water, all those types of drinks. You should also limit your intake of processed foods and deli meats.

9) Failing to eat fruits and vegetables

Eat more fruits and vegetables. This provides you lots of vitamins and minerals, they're going to boost your health; they are not very calorie-dense, so you're going to be able to eat a large volume of food without getting in many calories.

10) Not drinking enough water

Drink more water and cut out calorie-containing beverages. That sort of goes along with Pillar 2, with the sugar, but here we're looking at beer, soda, those $5.00 lattes from places like Starbuck's or your favorite coffee place.

And above everything you need a good program and guide to workout, the best that i know of is on the link down here. Helped me a lot, I'm glad to share it with you!

The MOST important thing is to eat naturally..without medicines, chemicals, "starving" your self etc.

First, it would be best for you to eat as healthy as possible..this will also help you considerably to lose weight gradually and naturally..

Eat fresh fruits, vegetables, drink plenty of WATER..avoid all cokes, caffeines, smoking, alchohol etc. As these also add weight as well as they contain chemicals which disturb your natural bio rythmns as well as brain chemistry. Try not to eat too much meat, and the meat you should eat should be "lean meat" such as steamed chicken and rice, or steamed fish with rice..and vegetables,, this should be your staple diet rice and vegetables with fruits..AVOID "JUNK FOOD" and "Fast Food" as this type of food is very unhealthy, lacking in vitamins really and has plenty of fattening molecules which make one gain weight and is very bad for overall health.

If you snack,, try fruits with yogurt or fruit yogurt and nuts.. Nuts are very healthy for your body .and contain proteins.

Go for walks every evening or morning or whenever you get time each day for 1 hour or 2 hours..make this somewhere you enjoy walking even if you have to drive a bit to there..and make this a daily routine..you will enjoy it once you get into it ..and it makes you feel great after..just walking for 1 hour or 2 hours.

If you do this..every day for one month ..you should lose around 10 pounds (.714 stone) per month until you get to your natural healthy weight.. Look up on the internet for an idea of what your weight for your height should be ..and when you get to this weight,,your body will look very nice and you will feel very good.

10 pounds (.714 stone ) each month in 3 months you should lose 30 pounds (2 stones, 2 pounds)..for sure…but no junk food and dont drink alcohol or smoke, dont eat junk..just healthy food with vitamins and walking 1 hour or 2 hours every day..and drink plenty of water..this is guaranteed way to lose weight naturally and for good, if you stick to this, which you should,,as it makes you feel so much more positive due to the vitamins and lack of chemicals making you feel depressed…

Btw, forgot to mention,,just in case you dont know how to really make healthy meals..buy a "food steamer" at your local deparment store..they are very cheap and work very well..as well as buy a "rice cooker" which is also very cheap..eating rice is a great way to get your necessary carbs "healthy carbs" to lose weight and has lots of natural energy inside. You can buy asian rice at most large supermarkets or if you have a local oriental market..they sale quality asian rice.. Thai or indian rice is good "jasmine rice".. Buy corn or canola oil to sprinkle on vegetables or rice before steaming to add to taste as well as you can buy several nice spices like "cumin" or "Curry powders", etc.just sprinkle on the vegetables before steaming to give nice taste.

Drink "Green Tea" as this is very healthy and helps burn extra fat faster…you can buy quality green tea at most oriental shops or large supermarkets as well.
