Best diet for weight loss?

I heard this guy who ate mcdonalds for 3 months but lost 50 pounds at that time. All he was doing is watching his calorie intake and walking for 45 minutes. That shocked me to know that as long as you take calories below your rate you are fine no matter what you do. But I was curious of a diet that can help me lose weight without starving or eating fast food.

For weight loss, dieting is more effective than exercise.

Reducing your intake of junk sugar will help. Foods or drinks such as coke and other soft drinks, desserts, sweets, cakes, cookies or biscuits must be eliminated or substantially reduced. Cereals must be restricted to those that contain less than 15% total sugars and junk sugar loaded foods such as pizzas must be avoided. Junk sugar bowls must be abolished.

The natural sugars in fruit and vegetables are OK as they metabolise to glucose slowly due to their high fiber content so they have a low to medium GI value. Fruit and vegetables are low in calories and are not fattening. Most fruit and vegetables are metabolism boosting foods and that helps for weight loss. Potatoes and sweet potatoes are exceptions and can be fattening.

Fattening combinations that you need to avoid include combinations of protein foods (such as eggs, meat, poultry, sea food, cheese and nuts) with starchy carbohydrates (such as bread, cereals, pasta, rice, potatoes, sweet potatoes and corn).

Apparently the Lemon Detox Diet is the worst diet there is as in Http://au.search.yahoo.com/search;_ylt=A…

Help with Weight loss diets?

Hi I'm looking for a weight loss diet that will allow me to lose 30 lbs in 6 weeks or less. I want one with a meal plan that will tell me what to eat, and where I don't have to order preselected meals. I am not afraid of hard diets or exercise. Any suggestions?

My mum has diabetes (type 2), arthritis, high blood pressure, cholesterol problem. Her weight is 90 kg and she really needs to lose 49 kg, she really does need to lose weight
, it making her health worse… Doctors everyone is saying that she needs to lose weight.
She was being slack but now she has sworn to get in shape and stay commited. She isn't use to exercising since she has been slack. So she has started going on walks.
However, diet plays an important role when it comes to losing weight. She asked the doctor, there's nothing that is dangerous for her except for sugar. Also, she'll start going to the gym after sometime.
I am as old as her and I don't know how would I lose weight at her age and what things she can or can' t do.
So what are the things u must not eat when losing weight. What are the things that are she should eat? I know the general things like no junk, deep fried food… But specifically, what should one have a lot and what should be avoided. Like potatoes, rice, nuts….

All answers are appreciated 🙂

Cheers,
Princess 🙂

Well, diabetic weight loss diet is an important part of keeping glucose levels in check by striking a balance between the carbohydrates, fats, and protein eaten at each meal.

For many diabetics trying to figure out the exact amount of carbohydrates they can eat can be a little frustrating.

That way she understand the risks and what she have to do.

Diabetes prevention starts with losing weight. First things first, discuss weight loss and an individual program with your health care team.

Take things slowly at first, and take one step at a time.

Cheers,
David 🙂
